FKA Twigs premieres new song “Killer” through her exquisite Tiny Desk Concert

Any move FKA Twigs makes is more than worth following: it’s essential. Most recently, she offered up a performance for NPR’s beloved Tiny Desk series, albeit performing in London’s St. Matthias Church, surrounded by candles and supported by a three-piece band of Kelly Nicole Moran (piano), Damsel Elysium (double bass, violin) and Lucinda Chua (cello).

While her performances of “Home with You” and “Cellophane” are as gripping as ever, it’s certainly most exciting to hear her perform her approaching new single, “Killer”, ahead of its official release on Thursday.

Even without the beats expected on the final studio version, Twigs’ alt-R&B prowess shines through this song about devastating, irresistible attraction. In fact, the stately arrangement makes the drama even more pointed.

The studio version of “Killer” will drop this Thursday, June 16. Find FKA twigs on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
