Darcy Nelson is a Colorado artist with a voice that sounds like morning sunshine. Her new single “River Wash Me” is one of this year’s best – and its release coincides with Earth Day.
The song’s lush, cascading harmonies wash over you like a healing river. It’s a love song to Mother Nature – one that deserves to ring out worldwide this spring.
Darcy says, “I grew up near the mouth of the Nisqually River just miles from the National Park gates at Mount Rainier, and the sonics of a rushing river have been cleansing medicine for me in ways that I’ve only recently found words for as a desert dweller who doesn’t experience nature medicine from rivers on a daily basis any longer.
“This Earth Month and Earth Week, I hope the song inspires more love for our habitat and the natural resources that are so vital to the balance of life. It was fun to work in more lofi elements with my folk sounds for a chill, euphoric track that invites river and nature medicines into my busy mind.”
