Gloomy jangle pop New Yorkers Crystal Stilts return in Septmeber with a new full length album titled Nature Noir, their first since the brilliant In Love With Oblivion, from a couple of years ago.
The band have hopped from Slumberland Records to the premier proponents of New York rock currently, Sacred Bones. They will be putting out the album on September 17th.
On the new album Crystal Stilts are said to be “bridging and expanding their intensive tastes in Soul, Folk, Psych, Country, Proto-punk and onward, it’s apparent that their new formulary is more subtle and fully realized than ever.” In comparison to their previous albums Nature Noir “strikes a more emotional chord” and “reaches forth with a very human yearning.” You can get a flavour of this with the song “Star Crawl” below.
