Beloved pan-Asian progressive group TENGGER to self-release new album, share lead single “Sairo”

Talk about doing it organically. Korea-based progressive electronic (with Krautrock leanings) group TENGGER, comprised of married couple itta and Marqido (and of course contributions from their young son), have slowly but surely built a loyal worldwide following purely through, with little fanfare, quality releases. Recent years have seen their strongest works to date, from 2019’s Spiritual 2 to 2020’s more ambient-leaning Nomad.

Now, they’re set to return. With the closure of their former home label, they’ve opted to release this album, the delightfully titled Earthing, independently.

Hence, it’s being exclusively released via Bandcamp, with no plans (at least as of yet) for a physical release. Naturally, that may well change with enough support, so make sure you contribute as much as you feel comfortable with!

Speaking on the album, the pair share, “Staying at Studio Kyurt located in the highlands, walking nearby, climbing mountains, gazing waterfalls, or reaching the ocean, we observed a lot of things. And then we could receive the message from nature, “There is nothing divided and we are connected all in the life circulation.” and we could make it into this album in nature. Paying respect to “Now”, the time aliving with sharing the message with you all audiences through music.

Earthing is due out March 21st and pre-orders begin this Friday, March 4th, just in time for Bandcamp Friday. If you’re a fan, make sure to support here!

To mark the occasion, they’ve shared the project’s single, “Sairo”. Check out the video for it below.
