As Pitchfork learned last year, a motley collection of artists were selected to contribute to the soundtrack for Mexican thriller Days of Grace, including Nick Cave and Warren Ellis. Also among the strange guestlist were Scarlett Johansson and Massive Attack’s 3D, reported to be offering a cover of George Gershwin’s “Summertime”.
The concept itself was strange enough, but now you can hear the results below. What do you think, did they nail it, or has actress-turned-singer Johansson again bitten off more than she can chew?
