If you thought if has been a while since we heard from the Quin sisters, better known as Tegan And Sara, it has. Their last album, Sainthood, came out in 2009 and since then the girls have steadily toured and offered up a fair share of Tyler, the Creator counterpoints. But, fresh for the holiday, Tegan And Sara have a different kind of offering for their fans that will see two new documentaries hit shelves, only packaged together.
Get Along is a three film, one album collection that promises a “rare and intimate look into the lives of widely celebrated songwriters, performers, and musicians Tegan and Sara Quin.” More specifically, “the first film, States, is a 30-minute documentary that uses American touring footage and interviews with Tegan and Sara as a backdrop to illuminate their early career beginnings and unique connection with their fan-base. The second film, India, is a 25-minute documentary shot during Tegan and Sara’s first-ever tour of India, using interview footage with Tegan, Sara, and a cast of family and friends to chronicle diverse reflections on road life. The third film, For The Most Part, is a 70-minute stripped-down studio concert, shot before a live audience of 75 fans, friends, and family over two days at The Warehouse Studios in Vancouver, BC.” A cd of this performance will round out the release.
Get Along will come in three versions (standard, deluxe, and iTunes), and you can pre-order now here. The set will be released via Warner Bros on November 15th. Below we have the audio tracklist, a teaser trailer, and “I Won’t Be Left” for you to listen to.
