Similar in concept to the Mermaid Avenue albums that saw Billy Bragg and Wilco tackling lost lyrics of Woody Guthrie, The Lost Notebooks Of Hank Williams will see another country forefather getting the same treatment. Rolling Stone reports that the record was originally conceived to be just Bob Dylan doing the singing, but has now evolved into a various artists collection.
Due out on October 4th, the record sees 13 different artists finishing song ideas and lyrics that the legendary Williams could not complete before his death. Among the notables featured: Jack White, Norah Jones, both Dylans, Merle Haggard, and more.
