When I woke up today and I heard there was an Avalanches story that needed posting, obviously, I expected something else. But, people are still expecting a new album from the Australian group, though it might not be until 2012.
But, this is not the point of this story. The Avalanches are reissuing their seminal 2001 debut, Since I Left You, on Modular. The reissue offers the original album and a bonus disc that includes unreleased B-sides and demos, plus remixes from El Guincho, MF Doom, and Black Dice.
For a taste of what to expect, Modular is serving-up this Stereolab remix of the title track. We’ll keep you posted when we get a full bonus features tracklist and release date.
