Hype! Hype Hype Hype! Yeah, there is nothing quite capturing the attention of the blogosphere like the return of The Strokes, with their fourth album due on March 21st, titled Angles. But it’s not like the band isn’t giving us something for our attention. Through their website, the band is making their first single, “Under Cover of Darkness,” available for free! You can’t find a better deal!
Sure their was a ticker counting down the moments on the website until the single would be available, but a little anticipation never hurt anyone… unless the song sucked. Then it would be a big letdown, right? But should The Strokes deliver, the headlining slot at Coachella and the doe-eyed adoration from rock fans everywhere will seem just as deserved as it did ten years ago when Is This It first caught our attention.
