Snubbed from many year-end lists was the quite good debut album from the Dum Dum Girls, I Will Be. But like true 21st century independent women, they are not ones to relent on their attempt to invade your laptops and portable MP3 players. So the So Cal girls will offer a four-song EP, He Gets Me High, on March 1st that should cement them as the premiere punky girl group west of the Vivian Girls.
He Gets Me High features three originals as well as a cover of the Smiths classic “There Is A Light That Will Never Go Out” (like, the best song EVER). The ladies are plotting a full tour in support of the new and old records, which should only serve to win over new fans in towns like Burlington and Chapel Hill. Check out the tracklisting below look for the collection on Sub Pop.
