Though still untitled, The Strokes have a release date for their new record: March 22nd. Direct Current offered the following:
“The project, the band’s first since 2006, is said to have a “classic sound” with bassist Nikolai Fraiture telling the BBC “Sonically, I feel it’s the album which should have been made between (2003’s) Room on Fire and (2006’s) First Impressions of Earth.”
The band has been rumored to be involved in Coachella as well as other music festivals, and with this release date now clear, this would seem to make sense. More info as it is released.
