Anie Delgado is gracious to herself on “Without You”

Anie Delgado is a Cuban-American alt-pop artist who now lives in LA. Her new single โ€œWithout Youโ€ took shape from a cathartic entry in her journal: โ€œI wish I could hate you like I hate me.โ€

Delgado says, โ€œIt was a realization that I give others far more grace than I ever give myself, especially people who hurt me. That thought sat with me. I wanted to explore that struggle for autonomy in my music and from there โ€˜Without Youโ€™ was born.โ€

On the new single, she enlisted the help of producer Olivier Bassil (Mary J. Blige, Don Toliver). Delgado describes the finished song as โ€œthe bridge between a sleepless night of overthinking and the chaotic, feral energy of the night out that follows.โ€
