Danie is a Toronto-based actor and musical artist who won the SOCAN Foundation’s Songwriter of the Year award and had several songs in the hit TV series Kim’s Convenience.
Her new single “Do You Remember” will remind you of other honey-voiced singers like Lorde (or Rita Coolidge from yesteryear). It’s a silky smooth song, perfect for late summer.
“I’m someone who falls in love with people fast, both platonically and romantically,” says Danie. “This song is about those times when you know someone only briefly, become infatuated, and the feeling is mutual but it can never be acted on. That quiet chemistry is dangerous and exciting, and this song is meant to be a reminder that it’s okay when those relationships or crushes come to an end.”
Danie has a glistening, golden voice that may some day win her some JUNO awards.
