Paul Wall and Termanology have both been at it for years now, more than proving their longevity within hip hop. Nonetheless, they might seem like somewhat unlikely collaborators on paper, with Houston favorite Wall tending to favor the sounds of his city and Termanology feeling most at home alongside the likes of Statik Selektah and DJ Premier. Yet – even long before Wall linked up with Statik for their unexpected collaborative project, Give Thanks – the two have been good friends.
They stirred the pot recently with their collaborative single, “No Tolerance” alongside Fly Anakin and Nems, and now they’ve revealed their larger plan: a proper album together. Start 2 Finish is due out April 8th, and is executive produced by – you guessed it – Statik Selektah.
To mark the occasion they’ve unleashed a truly special collaboration in the form of “Recognize My Car”: it’s produced by none other than the legendary Pete Rock.
