The Linda Lindas enter a regret spiral on the fizzing “Talking To Myself”

Viral sensations The Linda Lindas are approaching the release of their debut album Growing Up next month, and, following on from the title track, today share a new single and video “Talking To Myself”. They say:

“The song is about the spiral you go into when you’re lonely. You start to question yourself and all the decisions you’ve made. I’m always looking back on conversations and going “Oh, I should have said this, I should have said that”. But it’s also about needing other people, not just for reassurance, but because we’ve all learned from the pandemic that you need other people to talk to in order to stay sane.”

A slice of effervescent fun that immediately makes you feel less alone, “Talking To Myself” is a classic slice of bop-along pop punk. The Linda Lindas display their natural abiltiy with melody, jam-packing hooks into the song, underlaying them with electrifying guitar lines, and doubling their voices in a punchy harmony. It’s irresistible.

What makes it even moreso is the video, which references a classic Twilight Zone episode “Living Doll”. Take a look below or find the track on streaming platforms.

The Linda Lindas’ debut album Growing Up comes out on April 8 through Epitaph (pre-order/save). You can follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
