Lo Tom is the quartet featuring David Bazan, Jason Martin, TW Walsh and Trey Many who put out their debut self titled album in 2017. At the time it was thought to be a one off, but they’ve continued trading ideas and working them up into finished products and have decided to release a second album – with the help of their fans. They’ve started a Kickstarter today with a $20,000 goal so they can release LP2 on September 4 – and there are many purchase options to get yourself the album and get the band to where they need to be.
If you’re wondering about the music itself, well Lo Tom have put out the song “Start Payin'” on streaming services to tempt you. It’s a dynamic rock song, with Bazan’s classically weary voice perfectly suited to the foothills of sonic turbulence brought on by the band; it sounds like he’s taking up the role of a guy who’s been skirting by for years, but karma has finally caught up to him and he has to “Start Payin'”. Between them, the four members have plenty of diverse experience, and they make it all show without overdoing it on the short but punchy pop rock smash.
Listen to “Start Payin'” below or on streaming services.
Lo Tom’s new album is set to come out on September 4, and you can buy the album through the Kickstarter. You can follow the band on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
