Tori Amos: Pretty Good Year

– Ted Leo has signed to Matador Records. It is the third label in two years for the US Indie star, after his previous labels Lookout! Records and Touch and Go folded.

– The Stooges are among the nominees for induction into the 2010 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Abba, Kiss and Donna Summer are among the others on the shortlist. The ceremony will take place next year on March 10 in New York City.

– British urban singer Jay Sean is confident of ending the sixth month Black Eyes Peas monopoly on top of the Billboard Hot 100. Feauturing Lil’ Wayne, new single Down has already sold over a million copies, and has spent the last three weeks at number two. “I know their sales are decreasing and their airplay is falling. It’s probably going to be on its way down. Hopefully we can clinch that number one spot,” he told the BBC official website..

– Tori Amos has announced the track listing for her new seasonal album, released on November 10th. Entitled Midwinter Graces, it features several covers of traditional songs, as well as new material of her own. The full tracklisting is as follows:
