Get ready, y’all (as Britney Spears might say in her Louisiana dialect)–the Jonas Åkerlund-directed video for “Hold It Against Me” is coming soon. If you’re a fan of the well-done music video, there are few directors more imaginative than Åkerlund. He brought us the groundbreaking video for Lady Gaga and Beyonce’s “Telephone” last year. He seems to have an affinity for working with blonde, bigger-than-life pop divas, having done videos for Madonna back in the ’90s, such as the video for “Ray of Light.” This news is welcome after the devastating revelation that rapper Gucci Mane would not actually be working with Spears, contrary to recent rumors. So much for that!
To tide you over until the “Hold It Against Me” video is unleashed onto the world, Spears tweeted a screen shot of her video last night. Have a look:

Is that a wreath of microphones? Interesting.
Our review of the track wasn’t so favorable, but don’t hold it against us. Maybe this video will help restore our faith in Ms. Spears.
