Today Jagjaguwar have revealed plans to release a deluxe version of Bon Iver’s much talked about second album Bon Iver, Bon Iver. The new version does not feature any new songs, but instead comes with a video to accompany all 10 of the pieces found on the album. The videos were created by Dan Huiting, Isaac Gale, David Jensen, JoLynn Garnes and Justin Vernon himself. The idea behind Bon Iver, Bon Iver deluxe is that it is “meant to be consumed as a visual extension of the music, to enhance each listener’s experience. While not music videos per se, these visual accompaniments are striking in their distinctive atmosphere, and compelling works in their own right.”
This new edition will be released on November 29th. This version will not be coming out on CD (obviously) but will be available mainly digitally through iTunes, while a limited number of DVDs will be made available at participating record stores and Jagjaguwar’s online store.
