If you were paying attention to our end of year content, you’ll have noticed London duo AlunaGeorge crop up a few times, and for a group that only has a handful of songs to their name, this is quite a feat. The excitement around them is certainly not contained to the blogosphere, as today they were announced as the runner up the BBC’s Sound of 2013 poll.
To celebrate the commendation the pair today visited BBC Radio 1 and announced that their much-anticipated debut full-length is coming out in June on Island Records and will be entitled Body Music.
Further details about Body Music are still to come, but AlunaGeorge also premiered a new song entitled “Diver” while at BBC Radio 1 today. Fortunately The Line of Best Fit were on hand to grab the track out of the airwaves and stick it on the internet for our listening pleasure. Check it out below.
