Just a couple of weeks ago we came across weighty darkness that was Castratii’s “Kingdom” and its accompanying video. That video, and the record from which it’s drawn has been on constant repeat in the BPM offices ever since. So it’s with great pleasure that we’re able to today premiere “Eora,” the title track from that forthcoming record. Like “Kingdom”, it too showcases Castratii’s unique blend of Scandinavian influenced twisted pop music and the dreamy float of the progenitors of the Shoegaze scene. You can trace its roots through many paths, but this is a track, a record, a band, that you’re not going to want to ignore. Check out “Eora” below.
Their debut full length Eora is due out August 21st on Time No Place and rest assured, it stands up to the quality of these two tracks. Check over at their Bandcamp to hear a few more snippets streaming.
