This Record Store Day (April 21), The Flaming Lips have got a pretty special release planned. As a sort of culmination of all the collaborative releases they’ve put out over the last couple of years, they’re putting out a compilation of new collaborations with great artists. These include Bon Iver, Erykah Badu, Neon Indian, Nick Cave, Ke$ha, Neon Indian and many more.
The collaboration with Bon Iver is now available to stream online. The 6-minute track is just below.
Plugging away since 1999, The National finally hit mainstream success with the release of their 2010 album High Violet. Of course, this entailed their first world tour, but in the new documentary Mistaken For Strangers, it’s only the backdrop for the relationship between lead singer Matt Berninger and his younger brother Tom, who had no idea that these short videos he was shooting would turn into a public document of their troubled, if still loving brotherhood.
