Listen: Stroik – “James”

Stroik

Here’s another cut from the mysterious North Carolina-based artists Stroik who has served up peppy likeable songs such as “In The Fresh” and “One More Time.” His new song, “James,” is a acoustic guitar-led ditty with crunchy handclap percussion and an unabashed falsetto. Before long it beefs itself up a little with a drum track and a bit of electric guitar and keyboards. Stroik is painting an interesting portrait of himself, and “James” brings vulnerability the picture, but still keeps the upbeat blood flow through the work. Listen to “James” below, and keep tuned for news of his debut EP, House of Manners.
