There’s still no concrete news on when we’ll actually get to hear the entirety of Italians Do It Better’s new compilation After Dark 2, but Johnny Jewel is stringing out our interest expertly by releasing a new track from it seemingly at random intervals. His latest offering comes from his Glass Candy project and is called “The Possessed,” and comes riddled with the some neon synths we’ve come to know and love from Jewel. The song has a deceptively upbeat and carefree vocal melody despite possessesing some rather dark lyrics, which can be read in full below the track.
