Near the end of “Modern Aquatic Nightsongs,” taken from Atlas Sound’s upcoming Parallax album, the tune’s calming beauty gives way to psychedelic paranoia, leading to the realization that there is a reason this is a nightsong and not a daysong. Like he has so many times, Bradford Cox delivers a fully fleshed sonic adventure, and it seems that we will never tire of taking the journeys with him.
