Younger Hunger share bouncy, rollicking new single “Day Traitor”

LA alt-pop band Younger Hunger could certainly never be accused of complacency. With a mission statement to never repeat themselves, each taste of their sound is a bit different than the last.

Their latest single “Day Traitor” is equal parts indie bliss and Blink 182. It makes more sense than you’d think, especially as their influences range from the Gorillaz to Odd Future. It’s a sampling of their upcoming EP, Crying in the Pit.

On the song, singer Tony Davia offers, “‘Day Traitor’ was the first song written from this EP. Beckett made the cover art for it before the song was written, and I remember just staring at it for a while and then pulling out that main guitar riff from the song. After I made the demo I went on a walk and listened to it like 50 times on repeat, Then we took it to Zach (Fogarty) and he just took it to a different level sonically. All in all, my favorite YH song.
