Video: Rihanna, Kanye and Drake NBA All Star half-time performance

Friday night of NBA All-Star weekend might have started with Bieber Fever, however it ended with all the lights on Kanye West. The 2011 NBA All-Star game halftime show took place last night in the Staples Center in Los Angeles, headlined by Rihanna and featuring Drake and Kanye West. Rihanna started the show off with her 2007 hit single “Umbrella,” then “Only Girl,” “Rude Boy,” and finished up with the helping of Drake in “What’s My Name.” The show ended with Kanye West coming in with “All of the Lights” which, of course, featured Rihanna. Kanye rose from the bottom of the stage from smoke as he rapped over the live horns that played to the beat of his hit single.

Rihanna headed this star-studded halftime show on her 23rd birthday. In fact, Drake was even able to slip in a birthday wish during the song “What’s My Name.” This isn’t the first time that the NBA was able to pull off big stars from the hip/hop pop genre. Last year, the show featured Alicia Keys, Shakira, and Usher. It’ll be interesting to see what the league will have planned for next year’s game, since this year it reached its highest rating since the last time Michael Jordan played in 2003.
