Vagabon returns with the Rostam co-produced single “Carpenter”

Lætitia Tamko aka Vagabon has returned with her first new music since 2019’s self-titled record. It’s a single called “Carpenter” which was co-produced by Tamko and Rostam. about the song, she reveals:

‘Carpenter’ is about that humbling feeling when you desperately want to be knowledgeable, you want to be advanced, you want to be mature, forward thinking, and evolved. It’s about being confronted with your limitations. It’s about that A-HA moment, when a lesson from the past finally clicks and you want to run and tell someone who bore witness to the old you, ‘i finally get it now.’”

“Carpenter” finds Vagabon back at her best, searching and self-expressive self. Her confidence is evident, but so is her humbleness, especially as she admits in the chorus “I wasn’t ready to hear you out / I wasn’t ready to pull me out / I wasn’t ready to move on out,” before regathering herslef for the concluding :”but i’m more ready now”. It’s an understated but heart-snatching return for the talent.
