Ted Leo and the Pharmacists releasing new EP in response to Minnesota Police Brutality

As you may know, Ted Leo likes to keep in the loop. After hearing about the police brutality in the Minnesota/St. Paul area during the recent Republican National Convention, Ted Leo decided to act.

Last week, Ted and the whole gang decided to hit the studio to record two new tracks and two cover tracks for a special benefit EP. Proceeds go directly Food Not Bombs Minneapolis, Democracy Now and the legal fees for those who have been arrested.

The EP is called Rapid Response and is available at Touch and Go Records for $4.00. You can also donate extra if you want. In two weeks, the EP will also hit iTunes and the Amazon-MP3 store.

Rapid Response EP:

01. Paranoia: Never Enough
02. Mourning in America
03. I Got Your Number [Cock Sparrer cover]
04. Nobody’s Driving [Amebix cover]

On a less serious note, you may wanna check out Ted’s 7″-split with comedian Zach Galifianakis available exclusively at Chunklet.com. Info on the 7″ and tour dates after the bump/

7″-split with Zach Galifianakis:

01. Ted Leo and the Pharmacists – “Rock’n’Roll Dreams’ll Come Through”
02. Zach Galifianakis – “Up In Them Guts”

Go for the picture disc, although you should really buy the charity EP first. The promo image is awesome too:
