While we can’t give you the news that Superchunk are releasing a new album today, we can tell you that they are releasing a new single. The track entitled “This Summer” is available now via Merge Records, available on limited edition white vinyl, backed by a cover of Bananarama’s “Cruel Summer” (I see a theme…). The vinyl is so limited, in fact, that the Merge web-store has already sold out of their supply, so keep a keen eye for it in your local record store. However, you can still download “This Summer,” and if you do via Merge, you’ll also get a download of an acoustic version of “This Summer,” along with Superchunk’s Clambakes Vol. 2 – A Page of Madness CD.
