The much anticipated team up between UK riser PinkPantheress and American icon WILLOW has finally dropped. “Where You Are” is produced by PinkPantheress alongside Mura Masa and Skrillex, and the Brit says:
“i had a lot of fun writing this song. it took loads of attempts to get it right but this is probably my proudest work to date, and i’m super happy for everyone to hear it.”
PinkPantheress has been gradually coming out of her shell over the course of her releases, but “Where You Are” is the most fully we’ve seen her yet. A seamless synthesis of WILLOW’s emo leanings and PinkPantheress’ UK garage nostalgia, “Where You Are” is an ethereal and unique traipse through mental stagnancy. The duo long to be with someone else, PinkPantheress expressing it in polite tones while WILLOW adds the yelping inner monologue. It’s an absolute jam.
