of Montreal reveal full details of new album, due in February

A couple of months ago of Montreal front man Kevin Barnes revealed in an interview that their new album was finished, being released early in 2012 and was called Wintered Debts, but not official release was forthcoming. Then, a couple of weeks ago, out of the blue of Montreal gave away the song “Wintered Debts” on their website, seemingly reminding everyone about their new album. ‘

So, today’s news story is less an announcement and more of a smoothing out of the details. The album is still titled Paralytic Stalks and the cover art is above. It comes out on February 7th through Polyvinyl on CD and 2xLP (Joyful Noise will put out a limited run of 500 cassettes).

Paralytic Stalks seems relatively short from its track list, which only contains 9 songs, but considering that “Wintered Debts” is over seven minutes long it might not be so short after all. Check out the track list below and grab “Wintered Debts” if you haven’t already.
