Noel Gallagher announces two new solo albums

While Liam Gallagher has gone on to release a new album this year as the frontman of Beady Eye, brother Noel, the less frothy member of Oasis, has remained mostly quiet. That is, until today, when he announced two brand new albums, one of which will see the light of day before year’s end.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds is a 10-song solo effort set to be released October 17 in the UK and in the states on November 8. The record will be released via Sour Mash/Mercury.

Noel then went on to announce a second project, a yet-to-be-titled collaboration with The Amorphous Androgynous which is said to be finished recording. That album will not be out until 2012.
