Mouse On Mars Announce First Album In Six Years

It was the middle of last decade that we last saw dance experimentalists Mouse On Mars drop a studio album on us and I’ll go ahead and say there has been a little something missing from electronic music over the past six years without them. But they’re back. The duo announced their upcoming album today, the very Mouse On Mars-y titled Parastrophics, which will get a release on Monkeytown on February 28th of next year. The press release describes Parastrophics as,

An album with singing bass drums, screwed up beats, tinnitus synths and some of the deepest bass the universe has to offer, Parastrophics is a thriving vision of the other side of experimental music. Discordance turns into pop as Alice in Wonderland bounces her booty to laser bass sounds, the likes of which would make Walt Disney jealously ponder the question, “Why didn’t I think of that?!” Parastrophics is glamorous, funky and deep. No speakers exist that could display all the details of such grand production.

So get ready to boogie, I guess.
