The release of Lou Doillon’s new album, Places, is around the corner (June 18th; via Verve), and we’ve already cast our ears upon two subtly strong cuts that make the full-length something to be sought after. Here’s another treat for your ears in the form of the title track that sees Doillon reeling off what sounds like some spoken-word word-association poetry that builds that up a dark instrumental passage where Doillon can only repeat the word “places” over and over, like she’s seeing a life lived flash before her eyes.
