Haiku Hands share the outrageously fun “Manbitch”

Australian trio Haiku Hands are already known for their balls-to-the-wall approach to danceable pop music, and they’re set to ramp up that reputation as they head towards the release of their debut album this August. They’ve thrown down a new marker with the latest single “Manbitch”, about which they say:

“‘MANBITCH’ was one of the first songs we ever wrote together. It was written and recorded in Joel Ma’s studio in Melbourne with extra production flavour by Elgusto. We were laughing our heads off as we wrote it. It’s a club banger and a reimagining of the concept ‘bitch’ for anyone from any gender identification who would like to use it, own it and flex it.

You can immediately understand why Haiku Hands were laughing their heads off as they wrote “Manbitch”, because you’ll probably be doing exactly the same as you listen. You’ll also be shaking your posterior uncontrollably too, as the throbbing bass, tingling percussion and infectious gang-vocals pulverise your brain and body in all the right ways. A simply outrageous song of pure energy and confidence, “Manbitch” is laser-focused in its musicality, but so carefree in the way it’s carried off, it will extract you from whatever you’re feeling and put you in an absolutely give-no-fucks zone.

The video for “Manbitch”, directed by Nathan Lewis, only furthers the connective ridiculousness of the song.

Haiku Hands will be releasing their debut album via Mad Decent this August. Keep an eye on their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for more updates.
