Eels to release new album in August, embark on world tour

Mark Oliver Everett’s band Eels have announced the release of their ninth studio album Tomorrow Morning. This will be their second release of 2010 after End Times which was released in January. E says that the 14-track Tomorrow Morning is the final installment in a trilogy of albums that includes the aforementioned End Times and last year’s Hombre Lobo.

Tomorrow Morning is scheduled for release on August 24th, via E’s own E Works Records imprint and will be shortly preceded by the start of a world tour; the first time the band have played live since 2007. 46 dates for the tour, have already been announced, stretching into next June. The tour includes shows in the USA, Canada, Europe, Japan and Australia, starting with a warm-up show in Santa Ana, California on August 3rd.
