The Aces make a play for stardom with “I’ve Loved You For So Long”

Just like The 1975 a few years ago, The Aces could be on the brink of mega-stardom. The quartet from Provo, Utah just released “I’ve Loved You For So Long”, the title track from their third studio album that drops June 2.

Lead singer Cristal Ramirez is one of those performers (like Matty Healy) whose charisma and dance moves are truly special. The new single is perhaps the finest feel-good song of 2023 so far, with its rich bass and lush production.

Commenting on the new release, Cristal says, “The greatest love of my life is this band. It was something that subtly dawned on me after writing the title track for our third record, ‘I’ve Loved You For So Long’ – a line Alisa wrote that felt grand and romantic. We were exploring what love looks like in a long-term relationship, of loving someone for so long that they almost feel like a part of you. Although when we were writing it, we were referencing experiences from our romantic relationships, I quickly realized the love of my life is this band.
