Trace is a recording artist from New York. He is a producer/rapper/singer-songwriter/engineer/and visual artist, he started only when he was eleven years old. An autodidact, Trace is a self taught musician and engineer. The meaning behind the Trace stage name came from the actual definition of trace. The definition along with many others are an indication that something has been present. Trace wanted to leave his mark on the music industry. Avant garde groups like Radiohead to Big Band crooners like Frank Sinatra highly influenced Trace’s unique sound.”I wanted to bring back that live element and instrumentation back into music”, said Trace.
Trace’s second album Karma has been hailed as a “soulful masterpiece” and “genius” by peers and critics alike. “There is a dichotomy behind popular music and timeless music, I’m trying to make timeless music.” Trace has mixed and mastered songs for countless musicians. Trace is now has two musical projects underway; New York Mornings/Paris Nights which will be released in 2010.
