Following a couple of attention-grabbing singles, East Londoner Elan Tamara has today announced that her debut album, We Can Fall, will come out on October 15 via Kwes’ BOKKLE label.
The news brings with it a new single called “Always”, which Tamara says is “simply about keeping going, pushing through setbacks and pursuing what you love.”
While it’s about a single, identifiable topic, we all know that finding inspiration is a more involved act than it seems. “Always” captures the complexity and beauty of a new stimulus through Tamara’s exquisite combinations of dulcimer, synth and piano, which feel like synapses firing in her brain, all polychromatic and glistening tones. Then there’s her gorgeous vocal, in which you can practically hear her radiant smile – it’s the sound of someone whose mental clouds have parted, and suddenly a glorious, golden new dawn has broken in their mind.
