As Pitchfork points out, Fleet Foxes are losing their most famous member not name Robin Pecknold. According to Tillman’s Tumblr, Tokyo will be last show with the band tomorrow night. If you are familiar with Tillman, his attitude about the spit will not be surprising. My personal favorite Tillman memory is when I heard him talk to a venue security guard about Tupac’s murder to a surprisingly detailed level. Anyway, the full note is below. No word on who will replace Tillman on drums, but I imagine they should have a beard.
Farewell Fleet Fans and Friends. Back into the gaping maw of obscurity I go. Tokyo is my last show with the Foxes. Sorry if I was distant and obtuse if we ever met. Have fun.
