Whatever your feelings on the West Memphis Three issue, the images and video of Damien Echols in the latest video from Starred are fairly devastating. Pairing these bleak images with distorted guitar and reverb-drenched vocals, the band makes no apologies for their sympathies. The song is as spare and foreboding as the accompanying video. “Mayday” will be part of a double-disc gatefold 7″ that will be released by Pendu Sound on Record Store Day in April.
