Watch: Sigur Rós – “Varúð”

You’re probably fed up of these updates. What with there being five videos in the Valtari Mystery Film Experiment series already, and Sigur Rós’ latest offering not being entirely overwhelming (in this writer’s humble opinion, that is), news of a new video might be easy enough to pass over. The sixth video is a second outing for arguebly the album’s best track “Varúð”, and follows a young golden-haired girl as she skips down Manhattan streets. She must have got honked at about a hundred times, and had all sorts of nasty shit embedded in the soles of her feet when the shooting was done. On a more serious note, though, it is quite a wonderful video, and there’s a stranegly undulating effect when time stops around the girl. Watch the Ryan McGinley-directed video below:
