We’re still about a month away from the release of Phosphorescent’s new album Muchacho and the good folks over at Dead Oceans have seen fit to give us another taste of lead single “Song For Zula.”  This video, shot at John Varvatos Bowery (otherwise known as what used to be CBGB) showcases the song’s quiet power and inherent vulnerability.  Singer Matthew Houck delivers his poignant words through a bright collage of radiating lights and rising smoke, and the song reaches for and hits the same kind of highs that his last record, the underrated Here’s To Taking It Easy, delivered in spades.  And believe me, that’s no easy feat.  Watch the video below.
