snakes/vultures/sulfate is the upcoming debut record from EmptyMansions, the new side project of Interpol drummer Sam Fogarino.  Between the non-stop touring with Interpol and frequent studio time, Fogarino managed to write and record enough original material to form the basis of his debut as EmptyMansions.  Basing the music around a traditional guitar/bass/drums setup, he draws on influences from artists like Neil Young, Sonic Youth, and The Pixies.  And speaking of The Pixies (and the album’s first single “That Man”), Fogarino says, “The song is really about my love for the work of Charles Thompson, aka, Black Francis…But, from a creepy fan-obsessed point of view.”  Watch the video for lead single “That Man” below and check out the band’s limited run of tour dates in April and May
