Elusive Parallelograms make music that sounds like all your favorite records. Crossing genres and styles at a moment’s notice, the band never stands still for any length of time and relishes their ability to mash sounds together in odd and unexpected ways. The latest single “8-bit” from the band is all distorted guitars, warbling bass, thick synth lines, and driving percussion. Opening like some distant post-punk cousin and blossoming into waves of viscous guitars and demanding vocals, this track incorporates probably half a dozen influences within its sub-3 minute runtime. Building to an almost cacophonous mix of distorted instrumentation, “8-bit” sustains this sense of desperate assimilation which seems to permeate the band’s entire aesthetic.
Beats Per Minute is pleased to premiere the latest track “8-bit” from Elusive Parallelograms’ upcoming record Fragments.
