The Books announce U.S. tour for Fall, new album due late July


In support of their new album This Way Out due July 20 on Temporary Residence Limited, The Books plan to take their electronic folk sound and powerful visual display across North America. The duo of guitarist and vocalist Nick Zammuto and cellist Paul de Jong kick off the dates with a free show in Chicago’s Millennium Park and highlights of the tour include a gig at the Solid Sound Festival in Massachusetts, ATP Festival in Monticello, NY also featuring Sonic Youth, Explosions in the Sky, Fuck Buttons, Avi Buffalo and Tortoise, two shows in Durham, NC and a stop at Carnegie Hall. As in the past, expect the duo to add a variety of musicians to their live performances.
