St. Lundi grew up on Hayling Island off the coast of England, where Allied forces staged a mock invasion that was a rehearsal for D-Day in 1944. This artist knows a thing or two about invasions, having successfully stormed NYC recently. His new single โNobody Like Youโ has the two ingredients needed for a pop hit: a powerful vocal and a huge chorus. Itโs one of the gems youโll find on his debut album The Island, which is out today.
St. Lundiโs musical ascent began with catchy collabs with Seeb and Kygo. His voice will remind many of Coldplayโs Chris Martin or a less raspy version of Lewis Capaldi. In other words, heโs a stellar singer.
โโNobody Like Youโ is the first song I’ve ever written for my Mum,โ says the artist. โIโd been speaking to her a lot around that time about the past and it felt like she was still so cut up about things. I wanted to write something to basically say โyouโre amazing and look at how much you achieved since.โโ
