More Details of New Panda Bear Album Tomboy Emerge

Well we don’t know much yet, but it has been confirmed that the new album from experimental musician and Animal Collective member Panda Bear will be out this September and is tentatively titled Tomboy. Last month we reported that Amazon had been teasing a new Panda Bear single due out July 13th. This has now been confirmed. The single will feature two tracks, “Tomboy,” and “Slow Motion.” Various labels (including Paw Tracks, who will release this first one) will be releasing a series of limited edition seven inch singles by Panda Bear. There will be several limited singles total.

A Tomboy tracklisting has yet to be revealed. However, you can check these videos of some of the new songs performed live in Belgium. These two tracks are tentatively titled “Drone” and the second appears to be “Tomboy” the single and title track for the new album. Judging from these first glimpses of it appears that Panda Bear, AKA Noah Lennox will use more guitars on this album than past releases.

The setlist from Panda Bear’s European dates also reveal some tentative titles from some of the new tracks.
