Josephine Odhil‘s deft psychedelic pop leaves you in a daze of bewilderment, inciting questions such as ‘Does existence demand the omniscient storyteller or oblivious wanderer within ourselves?’ On phantasmic new single “Sigh”, Odhil beckons the listener to let go of concerns and give into the deepest sensations to find an answer: “Come apart and Immerse”
“‘Sigh’ is about escapism and the desire for mysticism,” Odhil clarifies, “I was inspired by the book ‘The Magus’ by John Fowles. The main character in one of the chapters has a mystical experience while under hypnosis. Later in the book, part of the poem “Little Gidding” by T.S. Elliot, which I found very inspiring. I tried to incorporate the same theme into the lyrics.”
“Sigh” offer a glimpse of Odhil’s upcoming LP Volatile, which will be released on January 13, 2023 via Unexpected Records.
